Monviert, Friulano Riserva DOC 2018

Monviert is a love story between the family behind the winery and the surrounding area, Friuli Colli Orientali, an area known for producing some of the very best white wine in Italy. The name Monviert pays homage to the small church, dating back to 1522, which stands at the top of the hill overlooking the vineyard’s 87 hectares of land and offers a clear, “open” view of the Colli Orientali.

Once a place of worship and comfort for pilgrims, the family has restored the area and turned it into a symbol of cultural wine heritage that they will continue to preserve. Located between the Julian Alps, which protect them from the cold northern winds, and the Adriatic Sea, which brings them the warmth of the Mediterranean breeze, Colli Orientali del Friuli has an ideal microclimate for the production of red and especially white wines.
