Domaine Guy Amiot et Fils resides in the prestigious Burgundy wine region of France. The history of this great winery stretches back for generations and is characterized by passion, craftsmanship and a strong commitment to producing wines of the highest quality.

It all began with Guy Amiot, who founded the winery in the 1920s. He began cultivating vineyards in the small village of Chassagne-Montrachet, which is known for producing some of the world’s most interesting white wines. Guy Amiot carefully tended his vineyards and used traditional methods to produce wines that reflected the unique terroir and climate of Burgundy.

The philosophy of Guy Amiot et Fils was passed down from generation to generation. Their approach to winemaking is based on respect for nature, terroir and traditional methods. They believe that the true character of a wine is a reflection of the land from which it comes, which is why they place great importance on nurturing their vineyards with care and respect.

An important part of Guy Amiot et Fils’ philosophy is also to keep production at a level that allows them to maintain the high quality of their wines. They prefer to be more conservative in their approach and focus on producing wines that are true expressions of their terroir, rather than striving for high volume production.

The vineyards belonging to Guy Amiot et Fils are located on some of the most coveted slopes in Burgundy. These vineyards are carefully selected and every step of the winemaking process, from harvest to bottling, is carried out with care and precision to ensure that each bottle of wine maintains the high quality for which the winery is known.

Guy Amiot et Fils is particularly famous for their white wines made from the Chardonnay grape. These wines are characterized by their complexity, elegance and depth. They are carefully harvested at optimal ripeness and then fermented and aged with care to achieve the desired balance and complexity.

Domaine Guy Amiot et Fils is a winery that understands the value of tradition and craftsmanship in wine production. Their philosophy of respecting terroir, cultivating vineyards with care and focusing on quality over quantity has made them one of Burgundy’s most respected producers. Their wines are not just drinks; they express a deep connection to the land, history and traditions of Burgundy.

Today, Guy Amiot’s grandson, Thierry Amiot, runs the winery with the same dedication and passion as his predecessors. Thierry has been deeply involved in winemaking since an early age and over the years has built a deep understanding of the unique terroirs and traditions of Burgundy. Under his leadership, Guy Amiot et Fils continues to produce outstanding wines that reflect the character and heritage of the region.

Thierry Amiot strives to maintain the winery’s high standards and innovative approach to winemaking. He combines traditional methods with modern techniques to create wines of exceptional quality and character. With respect for nature and the area’s unique terroir, Thierry works hard to preserve and enhance the winery’s heritage.
