About the wine
2010 is widely recognized as one of the greatest Barolo vintages in recent times. The growing season was cool and long, resulting in wines with intense aromatic complexity, perfectly ripened tannins and a fine balance between fruit and acidity.
This vintage has a classic style and enormous ageing potential – the best bottles can develop beautifully over 30-40 years.
After 14 years of aging, Barolo Brunate 2010 has developed an impressive complexity, but still has a vibrant structure and aging potential.
Color: Deep red with incipient orange nuances at the edge.
Aroma: Intense and complex with notes of dried roses, dark cherries, leather, truffle and licorice. Secondary aromas of tobacco, forest floor and spices emerge.
Taste: Firm structure with ripe tannins, vibrant acidity and depth. Notes of red berries, tar, forest floor, dried herbs and mineral elements. The finish is long and elegant with a touch of violets and earthy nuances.
This wine is still youthful and can evolve for decades.
