The Leflaive estate produces 4 Puligny Montrachet Premier Cru: Les Clavoillons, Les Folatières, Les Combettes and Les Pucelles. Finally, the Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne blanc (white Burgundy) is excellent value for money and surpasses many Puligny Montrachet from other producers. In addition, Domaine Leflaive produces 20 hectares of Macon and Pouilly Fuisse Domaine Leflaive wines have a very direct profile with a very distinctive finish. Many of the wines require up to 10 to 15 years of aging to reach their full potential. Grands Crus vines were replanted between 1955 and 1980. Montrachet, Chevalier Montrachet, Batard Montrachet and Bienvenues Batard Montrachet wines are among the greatest Burgundian white wines from Domaine Leflaive. They are highly sought-after wines that every wine enthusiast covets. Only the very rare Montrachet, produced in small quantities, is aged for 12 months in 100% new barrels. Then again for 6 months in one-year-old barrels. The other wines, according to their profile, go through new barrels (20 to 25%) for 12 months and then 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
