About the wine

Château Cheval Blanc is one of only a few wineries to hold the title of Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the Saint-Émilion classification. This is the highest recognition in the region and places the château among the world’s most prestigious wine producers. The 2021 vintage was produced under challenging weather conditions that placed high demands on the skill of the winery and the quality of the terroir. Despite the difficulties, Cheval Blanc has managed to create a wine that lives up to its outstanding reputation. The 2021 vintage is characterized by a harmonious combination of intensity and elegance. Even in a challenging year, Château Cheval Blanc delivers a wine of remarkable character. Complex nose with notes of red berries such as cherries and raspberries. Hints of violets, spices and subtle hints of cedar. Full-bodied, yet characterized by finesse. The tannins are silky smooth and integrated, with a lively acidity that lends freshness.
A deep and persistent finish with mineral undertones.

Merlot: Around 35-37%, adding richness, roundness and silky tannins.
Cabernet Sauvignon: A smaller proportion of 3-5%, adding structure and length.

Chateau Cheval Blanc

Château Cheval Blanc is located in the Saint-Émilion region of Bordeaux, near the border with Pomerol. The property has a unique location that benefits from both the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion and the clayey soils of Pomerol, giving its wine a distinctive complexity.
