La Rioja

La Rioja is located in northern Spain and is part of the larger region known as the Northern Region. It is surrounded by the Basque Country to the north, Aragon to the east, Castilla y León to the south and Navarre to the west. The region is characterized by its hilly terrain and rivers that cut through the landscape.
La Rioja is internationally recognized for its wine production, especially for its red wines made from the Tempranillo grape. The area has several vineyards that produce some of Spain’s finest wines.
